Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 2026

This policy explains what information SwanseaTech collects when you visit this website or get in touch, and what we do with it. We keep it simple because there is nothing complicated going on.

Who we are

SwanseaTech is a sole trader providing web design and cybersecurity services to small businesses across South Wales. You can contact us at info@swanseatech.uk.

What we collect and why

Contact form submissions. When you fill in the enquiry form, we receive your name, email address, and anything you write in the message. This is processed via Web3Forms and sent directly to our inbox. We use this solely to respond to your enquiry.

Website scanner submissions. When you run the free scanner at /scanner, we are sent an email containing the domain you entered and the time you ran it. We use this only to see that the tool is being used and to follow up if a scan shows something serious. We do not receive your email address or any other contact detail at this stage, and running a scan does not add you to any mailing list. If you separately ask for the written report, you provide your email address on that form and we use it solely to send you the report.

Analytics data. We use Google Analytics and Vercel Web Analytics to understand how people use the site — which pages are visited, where visitors come from, and what devices they use. This data is anonymised and aggregated. No personally identifiable information is stored.

Cookies

Google Analytics uses cookies to distinguish visitors and track sessions. These are analytics cookies, not advertising or tracking cookies. No data is sold or shared with third parties for marketing.

The site also stores one preference in your browser's localStorage (your chosen light or dark theme). This is not a cookie and contains no personal data.

How long we keep your data

Enquiry emails are kept in our inbox for as long as they are relevant to an active or recent client relationship, and deleted when no longer needed. Analytics data is retained for 14 months in Google Analytics (the default).

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • Request a copy of any personal data we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct or delete it
  • Object to how we process it

To exercise any of these rights, email info@swanseatech.uk and we will respond within 30 days.
