Terms of Service
Last updated: April 2026
These terms govern the relationship between SwanseaTech ("we", "us") and clients who engage our services. By commissioning any work you agree to these terms.
Services
SwanseaTech provides web design, cybersecurity consultancy, Google Business Profile setup, email security configuration, and ongoing website maintenance. The specific scope of each engagement is agreed in writing before work begins.
Payment
All prices are as quoted at the time of engagement. Invoices are due within 14 days of issue. For website builds, a 50% deposit is required before work begins with the remainder due on go-live. Monthly care plans are billed in advance on a rolling monthly basis.
We reserve the right to pause or withhold deliverables if an invoice is overdue by more than 14 days.
Intellectual property
On receipt of full payment, ownership of the finished website and all associated design assets passes to the client. Prior to full payment, all work remains the property of SwanseaTech.
Any third-party assets (stock photography, licensed fonts, plugins) remain subject to their original licences. We will advise you of any such assets before use.
Client responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Providing accurate information, content, and access credentials required to complete the work
- Reviewing and approving work within agreed timeframes — delays caused by late feedback may extend delivery dates
- Ensuring you have the rights to any content, images, or materials you provide to us
Revisions and scope
Each project includes one round of revisions within the agreed scope. Additional changes beyond the original brief will be quoted and charged separately.
Cybersecurity services
Our security health checks and audits are advisory in nature. We provide findings and recommendations based on information available at the time of assessment. We cannot guarantee that a system will be free from vulnerabilities following our engagement. Implementing recommendations remains the client's responsibility unless explicitly covered in the scope.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the fees paid for the specific engagement in question. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
Cancellations
You may cancel a project at any time. Work completed to the date of cancellation is billable at our day rate. Deposits are non-refundable. Monthly care plans can be cancelled with 30 days' written notice.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
