Cardiff IT support without
the twelve-month contract.
Cardiff has plenty of managed IT providers. Most want big firms, long contracts and a ticket queue between you and help. I offer the opposite.
If you run a small Cardiff business, the IT market is oddly shaped. There are enterprise-grade providers above you and very little dependable below. You end up either signing a contract sized for a company five times bigger, or relying on whoever answered a post in a local Facebook group. Neither is a sound footing for a business that depends on its computers working.
My offer is deliberately simple. £35 per person a month covers the day-to-day: helpdesk in business hours, patching, Microsoft 365 managed, backups checked. Anything bigger gets a fixed quote before I start. Your licences and accounts stay in your name, so you are never locked in, not even to me.
The lock-in point matters more in Cardiff than people realise, because there are enough providers here that switching should be easy and often is not. I have seen firms discover their Microsoft licences sit in their provider's tenant, meaning leaving costs a migration they never budgeted for. I set everything up in your name from day one. If you want to leave, you take it with you and pay me nothing to go.
The ticket queue is the other thing worth naming. Larger providers need one, because they are triaging hundreds of clients and a queue is the only fair way to do it. The cost is that a five-minute problem waits behind a two-hour one. With one person and a deliberately small client list, you get the five minutes when you need them.
A rolling monthly arrangement with 30 days notice means I am only worth keeping if I stay useful. I would rather work that way than tie you into a year and rely on the contract to hold on to you.

Fixed monthly and one-off prices, the same ones I quote in Swansea. No onboarding fee and no minimum seat count.

What Cardiff clients ask me.
You are in Swansea. How does that work for Cardiff support?
The overwhelming majority of support is remote regardless of where either of us sits, and remote is measured in minutes rather than the days a site visit needs scheduling. Cardiff is an easy run down the M4 when something genuinely needs hands, and first meetings and handovers are worth doing in person. Distance turns out to matter far less than availability.
What happens if we want to leave?
You give 30 days written notice and you go, and everything is already in your name so there is nothing to extract. Domain, Microsoft licences, accounts: all yours, documented. I will hand over to whoever comes next without making it awkward. Providers who keep licences in their own tenant make leaving expensive on purpose, and I think that is a bad way to keep clients.
Do you cover Penarth and the areas around Cardiff?
Yes. Penarth, Barry, Caerphilly and the surrounding towns are all workable, and remote support does not care about the boundary anyway. If a job needs me on site regularly rather than occasionally, I will say so up front rather than quietly stretching myself thin and letting the service slip.
